Service Agreement & Terms of Service
This agreement is between you (the "Customer") and ReadyOnline ("we", "us", "ReadyOnline"), and it sets out the terms on which we build, host and look after your website. By paying for a package and ticking the box on the onboarding questionnaire, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
ReadyOnline is a website service for local trades and small businesses, operating at readyonline.co.uk. You can reach us at hello@readyonline.co.uk. Our registered details and company number, where applicable, are available on request.
2. The service
We design, write, build, host and maintain a website for your business based on the information you give us. The exact features depend on the package you choose. We make the changes you ask for as part of your monthly subscription. We do not provide unrelated IT support, marketing campaigns or services not described in your package.
3. Packages and what is included
The features of each package are listed on our pricing page at the time you sign up. We may improve or adjust the underlying technology over time, but we will not remove a core feature you are paying for without letting you know.
4. Getting started (onboarding)
After payment we email you a private link to a short questionnaire. We build your site from your answers and any logo or photos you provide, then send you a preview to approve. We aim to deliver a first preview within a few working days of receiving your completed questionnaire, though timescales depend on how quickly you respond and the complexity of your content.
5. Your content and responsibilities
- You confirm that the information, logos, photos and reviews you give us are accurate, genuine and yours to use.
- You will not ask us to publish anything unlawful, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights.
- You are responsible for keeping your business details up to date by telling us when something changes.
- Reviews must be real. We will not invent testimonials, accreditations or facts.
6. Intellectual property and ownership
You own your content: your business name, logo, photos, words you supply and the copy we write for your site. The domain name is registered in your name and remains yours. We retain ownership of the underlying templates, code and tools we use to build and host sites. When your subscription ends we hand over your content and domain, as set out in clause 11.
7. Fees and payment
You pay a one-off setup fee and a recurring monthly subscription, at the prices shown when you sign up. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. The monthly fee covers hosting and the changes you request. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice; any change applies from your next billing period.
8. Late or failed payment and suspension
If a monthly payment fails, Stripe will retry it. If payment is not collected after those retries, we may suspend your website until the account is brought up to date. We will normally contact you before suspending. Your data is not deleted during a short suspension.
9. Changes and support
To request a change, just email or message us. We make reasonable changes to your existing site as part of your subscription, usually within a working day or two. Larger pieces of work that go beyond your package (for example adding a whole new section the package does not include) may be quoted separately, and we will always agree any extra cost with you first.
10. Hosting and availability
Your site is hosted on Cloudflare's global network with SSL. We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, as some outages are outside our control. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime beyond our reasonable control.
11. Cancellation and what happens to your site
There is no long contract. You can cancel at any time, and billing stops at the end of your current paid period. When you cancel:
- We stop hosting your site at the end of the paid period.
- You keep your domain name, which is registered in your name.
- We provide a copy of your content on request.
- The setup fee and fees already paid are non-refundable.
12. Data protection
We handle personal data in line with UK data protection law and our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
13. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We do not exclude liability for anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will let you know by email or on this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. The version and date at the top of this page tell you which terms are current.
15. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
