Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data ReadyOnline ("we", "us", "ReadyOnline") collects, why, and what your rights are. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us at hello@readyonline.co.uk.
1. Information we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email and message when you use our contact form.
- Orders: your name, email, billing address and payment confirmation when you buy a package. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never receive them.
- Onboarding questionnaire: details about your business such as services, opening hours, areas covered, contact details, and any logo, photos or reviews you upload.
- Technical data: standard server and security information, such as IP address, needed to run and protect the site.
2. How we use it
- To build, host and maintain your website.
- To take payment and manage your subscription.
- To reply to your enquiries and provide support.
- To keep our service secure and prevent abuse.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
3. Legal basis
We process your data to perform our contract with you (building and running your site), to comply with legal obligations (such as tax records), and for our legitimate interests in running and securing the business. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to deliver the service:
- Stripe for payment processing.
- Cloudflare for hosting, security and bot protection (including the Turnstile anti-spam check on our forms).
- Resend for sending transactional emails.
- Anthropic (Claude) to help draft your website copy from the answers you provide.
We only share what each provider needs, and we do not sell your personal data to anyone. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you are a customer and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting and dispute-handling needs. When data is no longer required we delete or anonymise it.
6. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- ask us to delete data where there is no good reason to keep it;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- request a copy of data you gave us in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, email hello@readyonline.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
7. Cookies
We keep cookies to a minimum. We do not use advertising trackers. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a cookie purely to tell humans from bots on our forms. Any future analytics will be privacy friendly and described here.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
